but i've found something in eeepc user forums.
they mentioned that bt3 not having the drivers. (U already knows that)

Maybe you can try bt4 beta. which is based on 2.6.28 kernel and ath9k should already be built in.

i'm now having trouble booting up into BT. i run "startx" like i always have done in the past, and the screen turns black, then i get a load of errors, mainly implying that i am unable to connect to xserver

So, I have my EEEPC900A-WFBB01 opened up awaiting further bloggage! My 900A is the BestBuy model without WebCam or Bluetooth. I ordered the
RUNCORE 32GB MINI PCI-e SSD ASUS EEE PC EEEPC 900 900A for it.
I replaced the ddr2 1G/b with a 2G/b
I bouight a Kensington mini bluetooth usb dongle K33902/M01011 which works well out of box.
I want to install a solderless touchscreen/usb hub and put usb dongle on it.
Fidohub on ebay says Asus Eee PC900 Easy & Fun Solderless Touch Screen KIT will work, but I need feedback from folks. Please comment! feralcoyote

I messed up my mod...
I used the same 5V and GND near the MIC-jack and due to a short on the controller, i managed to fry the component on the right side of the GND pad.
The EEEPC still works, but the sound is gone. Not really handy when you planned on using it as a Satnav.
Anyway, does anyone here know the value of this part or what it is?

I think the dremeling of the screw mount would actually work.

or having a slightly smaller panel size.

the panel is just too fragile. However i did not use any of the technique you mentioned.

so now, i'm back to its original state. i took out the cracked panel.

i was wondering how you were dealing with the popular touch screen crack that people have faced. are there any methods besides not tightening the screw?

and besides the obvious toothpicks or dremeling the screw mount.

How sad that you have nothing better to than jump on them for calling it "Itouch". When I bought mine from the apple store even the sales guy called it an Itouch. When I had problems with an update the tech at Apples call center called it an Itouch. It is just a common name that people call it.

I checked all wires, solderings and onnections more than 3 times but no succes. Windows does not find any new hardware. My guess the controller is not functional ... I thinks it looks like I have to trash the project to the bin ...
